Something is wrong in Mempris. Lovisa no longer shines, and without her, Mempris - one of the 33 worlds - cannot survive for more than 7 days. Gaila and her best friend Rupert (who won’t let her make friends with dragons) set out on a journey to find answers. They meet Amanda, who saves them from a one-eyed man, and Gaila quickly discovers that despite having yearned for adventures all her life - there is no place quite like home. They have to save Mempris, or she won’t have a home to return to.
